An introduction (or further study) of Capoeira. Capoeira is a beautiful and fluid Afro-Brazilian art form, created by descendants of African slaves in Brazil, during the Portuguese colonization. Africans were not allowed to practice their traditional martial arts; therefore they created Capoeira, a martial art disguised as a dance. Capoeira combines physical (acrobatics, martial art, and dance), musical (percussion and song) as well as philosophical elements. We will explore all of these aspects especially the physical an "play" Capoeira in a "roda"
