This workshop will focus on doing many kinds of locked star drops: Doubles, Triples, Three and a halfs, etc, focusing on wrapping and dropping safely. After mastering the standard star drops we'll work on variations that add tricks to top or bottom of the drop and vary the movement and shapes within the drop.

After mastering the standard star drops we'll work on variations that add tricks to top or bottom of the drop and vary the movement and shapes within the drop.
In this workshop, we will learn different launch positions at the top of a single or multiple star drop including dives, drop backs, shooflys/key overs, and back balance launched. We will also cover drops and choreography to do with the lock created at the bottom of the star drop.
A direct follow-on to the Rigging Basics session, this participant-driven workshop will provide an opportunity to learn hands-on rigging skills and explore/demonstrate specific scenarios in a relatively unstructured environment. Participation in the Rigging Basics session, or other prior rigging experience, is recommended but not required.
